So, some of you may have seen the reports of the situation at Oroville Dam in Oroville, CA, USA on TV. Well, I live downstream from it we were evacuated day before yesterday. We had to leave quick and the only place we had to go was to family up in West Point, CA. Unfortunately, they had no Internet access and I was out of my mobile coverage are, so I was unable to let you guys know what was happening. No one is hurt (humans or pets) and we're back home right now. But while the evacuation has been lifted, warnings are still in place and there's no guarantee right now that we won't be ordered to leave again. So if I disappear again, now you all know why. If you never hear from me again ... well, you get the picture. affraid

I think there are other absences to be explained.

I hope everything is doing well for you GL, we missed you so much and I do missed every one too. I haven't been here for a long time. Busy on work and of course being a single mom is really busy. How's every one doing? Missy heree.

No, I'm floating on a rowboat waiting for George W. Bush to fly in and rescue me.

Gradually, I've went off forums. I still visit here, Biohaze, Silent Hill Heaven, and a few others where only a few members post. When you look at YouTube content, you can usually comment on the pages and while it's not as tidy looking as message boards, the things they say are interesting to read. Even when they submit news on Biohaze though, you don't get a swarm of users saying much anymore. Not like in the good old days before Facebook existed.

I remember in 2004 when everyone was on reHorror and you had around 20 or more users signed in at once, and they would debate about everything which always kept things interesting, and many of these guys are hardcore fans that delve into the history and stuff, like the H.C.F. thing with Wesker.

Personally, I don't like forums that consist of nothing more than silly polls and irrelevant threads; I recently went on GameFAQs and some users there are just immature. They're not all like that, but I just find these type of websites are poorly moderated, have cliques running them, and they are often not that active. I've thought about just doing game uploads on YouTube in the future once I find a super quality capture card, and I may be leaving forums. Of course, I'd still have to use forums occasionally to attract an audience, because how else does one gain recognition?
