Some of the screenshots look like they belong in American Horror Story. Appreciate the link Narwhals.

TNX 4 the cool link! Should get back to my IGN account . . .

The fact that soaks up my heart in honey is id Tech 5 engine, Game will look perfect! second it will have over the shoulder view, I really hope that it will have RE6 like controls without any or very little motion limits. . .

Love the obvious barbed wire theme, very brutal, along with the explicit Hellraiser and Clive Barker inspiration. The monster with a boxed head? Very in line with the film Thirteen Ghosts! Really hope this works out, it looks amazing.

The trailer actually reminds me of a lot of some older horror games like Obscure, Dementium and Suffering mixed with basic Japanese horror elements.

And my hunch with making traps and ambushing enemies was right. I wonder how that'll play out though.

well the way Mikami explained Zwei before those teasers were out, i actually thought that game would have been pure RE trilogy like game, with old school camera setup and motion limits (well nothing is known about motion limits, but i really hope that there will be none) but the moment i saw id Tech 5 engine everything was clear i never even needed to see the image of the game . . .

This game is what I've wanted Resident evil to be since 2005.

Point taken. Seriously wish Capcom hadn't drove away all it's best developers.

Dude i thought u liked RE 5. . .

Well 1 way or the other The Evil Within will be and awesome trip. Believe it or not i Kinda sense Mikamis come back 2 Capcom at least on RE 8, i know he said that EW will be his final game, bust i guess capcom will need him to get back to the saddle and I doubt that he'll be able 2 refuse it . . .

Mikami is a genius! I look forward to the game very very much and i hope he makes many more survival horror games! I really hope he can put RE back on track but i doubt Capcom has the good sense to hire him back.

I find it ironic how people are praising this game already even if it clearly has the same style of gameplay as the newer RE titles. This is the same people who fawn over the fixed camera angles. Where's the difference? More horror? Go play Silent Hill or something. Basically the same thing.

I found something.

Shinji Mikami wrote:
"We had 100 or 200 ideas for the game title, and I wanted to name it 'Psycho' which was kind of a short title. But one of the background staff came up with a name that matched the story, so we decided to name the game 'Biohazard'."
Resident Evil->The Evil Within

Psycho->Psychobreak

Found where the "Zwei" thing came from.

Article wrote:
With Bethesda in the picture, Tango left Noah behind and started in on a new Mikami-directed triple-A project code-named Zwei — the German word for "two." That name wasn't a coincidence. Zwei was to be a vampire hunting action game starring a man and a woman attached by a chain. It was a cooperative game, with part of the gimmick being if someone played alone, they'd control both characters simultaneously with one following the other.

As time went on, Zwei evolved into a single-player horror game — what Mikami would later call "pure survival horror" — set partially in a mental hospital.

Mikami gives multiple reasons for the switch, saying he heard feedback that vampires hadn't been popular, and that team members pushed him to make a more traditional horror game.

Capcom was also mentioned.

Mikami wrote:
Capcom became a little too big, and they started modeling their business structure after Electronic Arts — in terms of management, cost, human resources and budgets," he says. "At Capcom before, if a producer came to the senior management meeting with a good idea, it was instantly approved. But then there was a lot of research and a lot of business people involved giving their take. It should be like that as a public company, but I liked Capcom when it was small."

Interesting considering Mikami himself said when the project was first announced that the working title "Zwei" had nothing to do with the Gernam number two. In itself that was already weird since I don't think there's any other meaning for such a word.

Weird, I only heard him say that the title Zwei had nothing to do with the game itself.
